Ōigawa Main Line
The is a Japanese railway line which connects Kanaya Station in Shimada, Shizuoka Prefecture with Senzu Station in Kawanehon, Haibara District, Shizuoka Prefecture. It is owned and operated by the private railway operator Ōigawa Railway. In September 2022, the Ōigawa Main Line suffered substantial damage from Tropical Storm Talas. Rail services between Kawane-Onsen Sasamado and Senzu Station were suspended until further notice. History The Ōigawa Main Line began operations on June 10, 1927 as a private line for the Ōigawa Electric Company, to carry workers and materials upstream to facilitate dam construction. The single-track line was extended from Kanaya in stages, reaching it current terminal station of Senzu on December 1, 1931. Keihan 3000 Series (1971)
The was an electric multiple unit (EMU) train type operated by the private railway operator Keihan Electric Railway in Japan from 1971 until 2013. From 2008 on, the 3000 series was designated as . History Construction began in 1971 and resumed until 1973. Internally, the trains were fitted with color TVs. With the introduction of the Keihan 8000 series from 1989, the 3000 series trains were gradually replaced. A bi-level car was added to a 3000 series set in 1995. The is a railway line of the Ōigawa Railway. It runs from Senzu Station in Kawanehon, Shizuoka, the end station of the Ōigawa Main Line, and terminates at Ikawa Station in Aoi-ku, Shizuoka.
