Łąki Łan
Łąki Łan () (Polish: ''Meadow's Field'') is a Polish band consisting of Jarosław Jóźwik, Michał Chęć, Piotr Koźbielski, Piotr Pacak, and former Sistars musicians Bartek Królik and Marek Piotrowski. Its style is a mixture of "punk and funky" or "Łąki Funk", as the band calls it. Hailed one of the best concert groups in Poland, the band is known for their energetic, colorful, humorous shows and imaginative concert outfits that resemble various insects. History Łąki Łan was founded in 2002, though the very beginnings of the band's formation might be dated as far back as 1999, when Mega Motyl and Poń Kolny, back in high school, were overheard by Paprodziad (who is one year their junior) talking about their plans to start up a band. The Fryderyk is the annual award in Polish music. Its name refers to the original Polish spelling variant of Polish composer Frédéric Chopin's first name. Its status in the Polish public can be compared to the US Grammy and British BRIT Award. Officially created in 1994 and presented for the first time in 1995, the award was initially conferred by the Polish Society of the Phonographic Industry (''Związek Producentów Audio-Video'', ZPAV). Since 1999, nominees and winners have been selected by a body called Phonographic Academy (''Akademia Fonograficzna'') which by now consists of nearly 1000 artists, journalists and music industry professionals. James Ephraim Lovelock (26 July 1919 – 26 July 2022) was an English independent scientist, environmentalist and futurist. He is best known for proposing the Gaia hypothesis, which postulates that the Earth functions as a self-regulating system. With a PhD in the chemistry of disinfection, Lovelock began his career performing cryopreservation experiments on rodents, including successfully thawing and reviving frozen specimens. The Gaia hypothesis (), also known as the Gaia theory, Gaia paradigm, or the Gaia principle, proposes that living organisms interact with their Inorganic compound, inorganic surroundings on Earth to form a Synergy, synergistic and Homeostasis, self-regulating complex system that helps to maintain and perpetuate the conditions for life on the planet. Funk is a music genre that originated in African-American communities in the mid-1960s when musicians created a rhythmic, danceable new form of music through a mixture of various music genres that were popular among African-Americans in the mid-20th century.
