İstif-class Frigate
The ''Istif''-class frigates are a group of eight multirole frigates currently being constructed for the Turkish Naval Forces. Developed under the MILGEM project, MILGEM national warship program as the I-class frigate, the ''Istanbul'' class is an enlarged version of the anti-submarine corvette, with enhanced endurance and MIDLAS Vertical Launching System vertical launching system, (VLS) for multi-role capability. On 19 January 2017, Turkish Navy held a ceremonial steel cut for the lead ship TCG Istanbul (F 515), TCG ''Istanbul'' (F 515). ''Istanbul'' was Keel laying, laid down on 3 July 2017 and Ceremonial ship launching, launched on 23 January 2021. Bosporus
The Bosporus or Bosphorus Strait ( ; , colloquially ) is a natural strait and an internationally significant waterway located in Istanbul, Turkey. The Bosporus connects the Black Sea to the Sea of Marmara and forms one of the continental boundary between Asia and Europe, boundaries between Asia and Europe. It also divides Turkey by separating Anatolia, Asia Minor from East Thrace, Thrace. It is the world's narrowest strait used for international waterway, international navigation.
