Čaplja
Čaplja (Serbian language, Serbian Cyrillic: Чапља) is a projected river island (''ada'') in Serbia, on the left bank of the Danube. According to the General Urbanistic Plan (GUP) of Belgrade, it will be formed in Belgrade's municipality of Palilula Belgrade, Palilula. Location The area designated for the future island is located in the Banat section of the municipality of Palilula between the Danube and the ''Jojkićev Dunavac'' canal, ending section of the Vizelj stream in Pančevački Rit (''Jojkić's Little Danube'', named so after the former mayor of Belgrade, Đurica Jojkić) on the east, and the weekend settlement of Crvenka, Belgrade, Crvenka on the west. Palilula Belgrade
Palilula (Serbian Cyrillic alphabet, Serbian Cyrillic: Палилула, ) is a Subdivisions of Belgrade, municipality of the city of Belgrade. It has the largest area of all municipalities of Belgrade. The core of Palilula is close to the center of the city, but the municipality also includes sparsely populated land left of the Danube. Heron
Herons are long-legged, long-necked, freshwater and coastal birds in the family Ardeidae, with 75 recognised species, some of which are referred to as egrets or bitterns rather than herons. Members of the genus ''Botaurus'' are referred to as bitterns, and, together with the zigzag heron, or zigzag bittern, in the monotypic genus ''Zebrilus'', form a monophyletic group within the Ardeidae. Vizelj
The Vizelj () is a short channeled river in north-central Serbia, the left tributary to the Danube. During its entire flow it runs through the suburban section of Belgrade, on the territory of municipality of Palilula. Course Vizelj originates north of Padinska Skela, in the central part of the Pančevački Rit, a former marshland in the southwestern corner of the Banat region. It forms at the Livade locality, and first flows to the west, where in the Puškara region receives the Sefkerin canal from the right. At the Carske Šume locality, also from the right, it receives the Buk canal. The Buk connects Vizelj to Besni Fok, and the Kišvara canal in the west. Pančevački Rit
Pančevački Rit ( sr-cyr, Панчевачки рит) is a small geographical area in south-western Banat, Serbia. It is situated between the rivers Danube and Tamiš, in Belgrade's municipality of Palilula. Features Its wetland was constantly flooded, but since World War II it has been gradually drained and almost half of it has been turned into a very fertile patch of land, suitable especially for cultivating grains and vegetables. It is managed by Serbia's largest agricultural company " PKB Beograd", which almost exclusively provides food for 2 million people in the greater Belgrade area; thus Pančevački Rit is commonly nicknamed Granary of Belgrade. Kožara
Kožara (Serbian Cyrillic: Кожара) is a river island (''ada'') in Serbia, located on the left bank of the Danube. It is part of the Belgrade City proper and belongs to the Belgrade's municipality of Palilula.
