Østerdalens Arbeiderblad
''Østerdalens Arbeiderblad'' was a Norwegian newspaper, published in Elverum (town), Elverum in Hedmark county. It was named ''Østerdalens Social-Demokrat'' from 1915 to 1919 and ''Hedmark Fylkes Arbeiderblad'' from 1923 to 1925. Pre-history The Norwegian Labour Party, Labour Party for many years lacked an organ in the region Østerdalen. The region was to a certain degree covered by ''Solungen, Hedemarkens Amts Socialdemokrat (Solungen)'' from 1908, and by ''Arbeideren (Hamar), Demokraten'' from September 1909. Northern Østerdalen was to a certain degree covered by Røros newspaper ''Arbeidets Rett''. In April 1913 the board of the party chapter in Southern Østerdalen (a constituency for general elections) decided to start working for their own newspaper. They first tried to negotiate with ''Solungen'', but to no avail, and ''Solungen'' also went defunct. Elverum () is a List of towns and cities in Norway, town in Elverum Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. The town is the administrative centre of the municipality. It is located in the western part of the municipality along the river Glomma, about east of the town of Hamar. The town is the regional centre for commerce and industry for the middle Østerdalen valley and the northern part of Solør. ''Norsk presses historie 1660–2010'' is a four-volume work about the press media history of Norway. It was published in April 2010 by Universitetsforlaget, and was the first book of its kind in Norway. Structure and production Hans Fredrik Dahl was the superior editor of all four volumes. The first volume, ''En samfunnsmakt blir til. 1660–1880'' was edited by Martin Eide. The second volume, ''Presse, parti og publikum. 1880–1945'' was edited by Rune Ottosen. The third volume, ''Imperiet vakler. 1945–2010'' was edited by Guri Hjeltnes. The fourth volume, ''Norske aviser fra A til Å'' was edited by Idar Flo. While the first three volumes are written in regular prose, the fourth volume is more of an encyclopedia with about 400 "newspaper biographies". Composed of 1925 pages across all volumes, the entire work cost and was finished after eleven years. Rena is the administrative centre of Åmot Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. The village is located at the confluence of the rivers Glomma (Norway's longest river) and Renaelva, Rena (a tributary to Glomma).
