Ödåkra
Ödåkra () is a locality situated in Helsingborg Municipality, Skåne County, Sweden with 4,920 inhabitants in 2010. It is situated just north-east of Helsingborg and could be regarded as a suburb of that city. Ödåkra is known for its old distillery, which existed from 1897 to 1976 and gave the name to the spirit ''Ödåkra Taffel Aqvavit''. The locality is located about eight kilometres north of Helsingborg’s City Centre, and also about eight kilometres from Öresund. Immediately south of the town lies the shopping centre Väla centrum. Ödåkra is bisected by the West Coast Line (train stop on the Skåne Commuter Rail between Ängelholm and Malmö), and lies adjacent to the motorways E6/ E20 and E4. The proximity of Helsingborg has made the town quite popular (about ten minutes by train), along with the large townhouse area Björka built near Väla centrum in Ödåkra in the 1980s. Helsingborg Municipality
Helsingborg Municipality () is a municipality in Scania County in Sweden. Its seat is located in the city of Helsingborg, which is Sweden's eighth-largest city. The municipality had a population of 147,734 on 1 January 2019 and the metropolitan area has about 320,000 inhabitants. Between 1912 and 1971 the name of the town was officially spelled Hälsingborg (rather like the region of Hälsingland but unlike neighbouring Danish Helsingør and the Finnish capital Helsingfors (Helsinki)). The spelling was changed back to the older version when the present municipality was created in 1971 through the amalgamation of the ''Town of Hälsingborg'' with four surrounding rural municipalities. West Coast Line (Sweden)
The West Coast Line () is a railway line between Gothenburg and Lund, which runs along the West Coast of Sweden. It is electrified all the way. It was originally built in 1880-1995, but it is since 1980 being rebuilt to a fast fairly straight double track railway along a mostly new route, basically a new railway. This was as of 2024 was still not completed, as the part through Varberg and through Helsingborg are both single-track. In northern Helsingborg the track follows a 150 year old right of way, which has tight curves together with a steep climb. Passing trains must not run faster than 30 km/h during inclement weather. Double track construction takes place between 2020 and 2023. although the track in northern Helsingborg will remain as it is for several more years. European route E20 is a part of the United Nations International E-road network. It runs roughly west–east through Ireland, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Sweden, Estonia, and Russia.
