National Payroll Week (NPW) is a national awareness campaign held annually during the week of Labor Day, hosted by the American Payroll Association (APA) in the United States, the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) in the UK, and the Canadian Payroll Association in Canada. Government recognition In 2007, Shirley Fanning-Lasseter, mayor of Duluth, Georgia, proclaimed September 3 to 7 as “National Payroll Week” in the City of Duluth. The American Payroll Association (APA) is a professional association for individuals responsible for processing company payrolls. The Association conducts payroll training courses and seminars on a yearly basis and publishes a library of payroll resource texts and newsletters. The APA has approximately 21,000 members, 121 APA-affiliated local chapters, and registered lobbyists based in Washington, D.C. The APA was founded in 1982 and is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas with additional offices in Las Vegas and Washington, D.C. Elvy Robichaud (born April 3, 1951 in Tracadie-Sheila, New Brunswick) is a former Canadian politician. He last served in 2006 as the member of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick for Tracadie-Sheila. Education Robichaud was educated at the University of Moncton where he received Bachelor of Physical Education, Bachelor of Education and Master of Education degrees.
