Carlo Vidusso (1911 in Talcahuano – 1978 in Milan) was an Italian pianist. He studied piano with Ernesto Drangosch and at 9 years old got a diploma in Buenos Aires. He moved to Italy, studied composition with Giulio Cesare Paribeni and Renzo Bossi at the Conservatorio of Milano and continued his piano studies with Carlo Lonati. He received an honorable mention at the II International Chopin Piano Competition. A virtuoso with ease of reading, at 20 years old he began an acclaimed concert career, performing in Italy and around Europe. Peter Edward Andry, (10 March 1927 – 7 December 2010) was a classical record producer and an influential executive in the recording industry, active from the 1950s to the 1990s. Born in Hamburg, Andry spent his formative years in Melbourne, Australia, where he became a professional flute, flautist, with ambitions to be a conductor. After moving to England, where he studied with William Lloyd Webber and Adrian Boult, Sir Adrian Boult, he played the flute in the orchestra of a ballet company, with occasional chances to conduct. In 1953 he switched career, joining the Decca Records, Decca Record Company as a producer. Less than three years later he moved to Decca's rival, HMV Records, part of the EMI Classics, EMI group, where he rose to become head of the group's classical operations. Paul Kletzki (born Paweł Klecki; 21 March 1900 – 5 March 1973) was a Polish conductor and composer. Biography Born in Łódź, Kletzki joined the Łódź Philharmonic at the age of fifteen as a violinist. After serving in the First World War, he studied philosophy at the University of Warsaw before moving to Berlin in 1921 to continue his studies. During the 1920s his compositions were championed by Arturo Toscanini; and Wilhelm Furtwängler, who permitted Kletzki to conduct the Berlin Philharmonic in 1925. Because he was Jewish, he left Nazi Germany in 1933 and moved to Milan, Italy, where he taught composition. Due to the anti-semitism of the Italian Fascist regime he moved to the Soviet Union in 1936. VI International Chopin Piano Competition
The VI International Chopin Piano Competition ( pl, VI Międzynarodowy Konkurs Pianistyczny im. Fryderyka Chopina) was held from 22 February to 13 March 1960 in Warsaw.
