Von Rolfe Villaseñor Pessumal (born February 12, 1993) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). College career Pessumal played college ball at the Ateneo de Manila University, and was a part of two championships for the Blue Eagles. He ended his college playing career in 2015. He made a name for himself in the Seniors division as a sharpshooter, who also had the ability to put the ball on the floor and finish at the rim. UAAP Season 74 was the 2011–2012 athletic year of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines. It was hosted by Ateneo de Manila University. The men's basketball and the women's volleyball tournaments were aired by ABS-CBN Channel 2 and Studio 23 (the men's basketball games are simulcast over DZSR Sports Radio 918) for the twelfth consecutive year. The opening ceremony was held on July 9, 2011 at the Marikina Sports Center. UAAP Season 78 was the 2015–2016 athletic year of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). It opened on September 5, 2015, almost two months after the usual July opening of the league during previous seasons, due to the shift in the academic calendars of four member universities, i.e. Ateneo, La Salle, UP and UST. There were eight universities that competed in fifteen sports with poomsae, a form in the sport of taekwondo now recognized as a regular sport and included in the general championship tally. The SEABA Under-18 Championship is an under-18 basketball championship in the International Basketball Federation's Southeast Asia Basketball Association, one of FIBA Asia's subzone. The Philippines have dominated the men's events since the sport was played, winning 18 of the 21 events. Malaysia won 13 of the 20 women's events. 2016 SEABA Cup
The 2016 SEABA Cup was the qualifying event in the SEABA for the 2016 FIBA Asia Challenge. The fifth edition of the games took place from 22 May to 28 May 2016 in Bangkok, Thailand. Automatically, only one spot was allotted for SEABA but due to the Philippines' runner-up finish in the 2015 FIBA Asia Championship, the subzone was awarded another slot, thus SEABA had two spots which was contested by five SEABA teams. The won their second tournament title by defeating the hosts in the championship match, 97-80. However, both teams were already qualified to the main tournament as of 25 May due to their top two finish in the elimination round. Basketball
