Vistas are a Scottish indie rock band from Edinburgh, Scotland. They released their debut studio album '' Everything Changes in the End'' in May 2020. The group consists of Prentice Robertson, Dylan Rush and Jamie Law. Career The band formed at school and developed a tight bond. They released their debut single, "Calm" on 23 March 2018. They released the single "Retrospect" in May 2018. Their debut EP, ''Hello'' was released on 26 July 2019. They released "Teenage Blues" on 26 November 2019 as the lead single from their debut studio album. "Sucker" was re-released as second single from their debut studio album. Indie Rock
Indie rock is a subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Originally used to describe independent record labels, the term became associated with the music they produced and was initially used interchangeably with alternative rock or " guitar pop rock". One of the primary scenes of the movement was Dunedin, where a cultural scene based around a convergence of noise pop and jangle became popular among the city's large student population. LAB Records (pronounced lab) is an independent record label operating from Manchester, England, and founded by Mark Orr and Nathen McVittie in 2007. ''Everything Changes in the End'' is the debut studio album by the Scottish alternative indie rock band Vistas. It was released on 29 May 2020 by Retrospect Records. The album includes the singles "Teenage Blues" and "Sucker". Critical reception Ali Shutler of ''NME'' gave the album three out of five stars, saying "''Everything Changes in the End'' is definitely full of bangers but Vistas' love of a boozy chorus – their desire to keep everything at full throttle – means that their personalities never shine through. The Official Albums Chart is a list of albums ranked by physical and digital sales and (from March 2015) audio streaming in the United Kingdom. It was published for the first time on 22 July 1956 and is compiled every week by the Official Charts Company (OCC) on Fridays (previously Sundays). It is broadcast on BBC Radio 1 (top 5) and found on the OCC website as a Top 100 or on UKChartsPlus as a Top 200, with positions continuing until all sales have been tracked in data only available to industry insiders. However, even though number 100 was classed as a hit album (as in the case of The Guinness Book of British Hit Albums) in the 1980s until January 1989, since the compilations were removed this definition was changed to Top 75 with follow-up books such as The Virgin Book of British Hit Albums book only including this data. The Official Charts (legal name: The Official UK Charts Company Limited) is a British inter-professional organization that compiles various "official" record charts in the United Kingdom, Ireland and France. In the United Kingdom, its charts include ones for singles, albums and films, with the data compiled from a mixture of downloads, purchases (of physical media) and streaming.
