Vilshanka Settlement Hromada
Vilshanka ( uk, Вільшанка, russian: Ольшанка) is an urban-type settlement in Holovanivsk Raion of Kirovohrad Oblast in Ukraine. It is located on the left bank of the Syniukha, a left tributary of the Southern Bug. Vilshanka hosts the administration of Vilshanka settlement hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Population: Until 18 July 2020, Vilshanka was the administrative center of Vilshanka Raion. The raion was abolished in July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Kirovohrad Oblast to four. The area of Vilshanka Raion was merged into Holovanivsk Raion. Economy Transportation The settlement has road access to Pervomaisk and from there to Highway H24 connecting Holovanivsk and Mykolaiv. A hromada ( uk, територіальна громада, lit=territorial community, translit=terytorialna hromada) is a basic unit of administrative division in Ukraine, similar to a municipality. It was established by the Government of Ukraine on 12 June 2020. Similar terms exist in Poland (''gromada'') and in Belarus (''hramada''). The literal translation of this term is "community", similarly to the terms used in western European states, such as Germany ('' Gemeinde''), France (''commune'') and Italy (''comune''). Kropyvnytskyi
Kropyvnytskyi ( uk, Кропивницький, Kropyvnytskyi ) is a city in central Ukraine on the Inhul river with a population of . It is an administrative center of the Kirovohrad Oblast. Over its history, Kropyvnytskyi has changed its name several times. Holovanivsk
Holovanivs'k () is an urban-type settlement and the administrative center of Holovanivsk Raion in the west of Kirovohrad Oblast, Ukraine. It hosts the administration of Holovanivs'k settlement hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Population: History It was a village in the Baltsky Uyezd of the Podolian Governorate of the Russian Empire. A local newspaper is published here since March 1932. The village was a shtetl home to thousands of Jews through the 1930s. Highway H24 (Ukraine)
A highway is any public or private road or other public way on land. It is used for major roads, but also includes other public roads and public tracks. In some areas of the United States, it is used as an equivalent term to controlled-access highway, or a translation for ''autobahn'', '' autoroute'', etc. According to Merriam Webster, the use of the term predates the 12th century. According to Etymonline, "high" is in the sense of "main". In North American and Australian English, major roads such as controlled-access highways or arterial roads are often state highways (Canada: provincial highways).
