Vasile Cârlova
Vasile Cârlova (; February 4, 1809 – September 18, 1831) was a Wallachian officer and early Romantic poet. Biography Born into a low-ranking Romanian boyar family in Buzău, Cârlova remained an orphan in 1816, and, after being adopted by an aunt, moved to Craiova. He studied together with Grigore Alexandrescu, learning Greek and French. In 1827, he wrote his first poem, ''Păstorul întristat'' (''The Sad Shepherd''), which was first published in 1830, with the help of Ion Heliade Rădulescu. A year later, he authored ''Ruinurile Târgoviştei'' (''The Ruins of Târgovişte'') and ''Rugăciune'' (''Prayer''). In 1829, Cârlova wrote ''Înserare'' (''Nightfall''). László Vasile Gergely ( hu, Gergely László; born 28 October 1941) is a Romanian former football player and manager. Club career Vasile Gergely was born on 28 October 1941 in Baia Mare and started playing football in Divizia B at local club, CSM Baia Mare. Gergely made his Divizia A debut under coach Gheorghe Ola on 19 August 1962, playing for Viitorul București in a 7–0 home victory against Minerul Lupeni, but in the middle of the season the club dissolved and he went to play for Dinamo București, making just one appearance in the second half of the season as the club won the title. In the next two seasons, he helped the club win another two titles, appearing in 3 games in the first and in 20 in the second. During his eight seasons spent at Dinamo, Gergely also won two Cupa României and made 8 appearances with one goal scored in European competitions. Vasile Gafencu (1 February 1886 – 16 March 1942) was a Bessarabian politician. He was the father of Valeriu Gafencu (1921–1952), nicknamed ''The Saint of Prisons''. Biography He served as Member of the Moldovan Parliament (1917–1918). Vasile Sebastian Dîncu (; born 25 November 1961) is a Romanian politician, sociologist, professor and writer who served as Deputy Prime Minister in the Cioloș Cabinet and was Minister of National Defence in the Ciucă Cabinet. Biography Vasile Dîncu was born on 25 November 1961 in Năsăud, a town now in Bistrița-Năsăud County. Dîncu is a member of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) since 2019, having previously been part of the party from 2000 to 2008. She has also been a Member of the European Parliament, of the Party of European Socialists (PES) and a Senator of Romania. Vasile Demetrius (pen name of Vasile Dumitrescu; October 1, 1878–March 15, 1942) was an Austro-Hungarian-born Romanian prose writer, poet and translator. Born in Șcheii Brașovului, his parents were Dumitru Ogea, who built and maintained wood-burning stoves, and his wife Elisabeta (''née'' Bratu-Stinghe). While in school, his name was changed to Dumitrescu, while the sobriquet Demetrius was bestowed upon him in 1899 by Gala Galaction, a classmate at Saint Sava High School, along with N. D. Cocea and Ion G. Duca. After leaving for the Romanian Old Kingdom, he attended primary school and three months of high school in Bucharest, but was largely self-taught. Vasile Deheleanu (12 August 1910 in Austria-Hungary (now Romania) – 30 April 2003) was a Romanian footballer who played in midfield and coach.
