Valeriy Khoroshkovskyi
Valeriy Ivanovych Khoroshkovsky ( uk, Валерій Іванович Хорошковський, born 1 January 1969 in Kyiv) is a Ukrainian businessman, former head of the Security Service of Ukraine, former Minister of Finance, and former First Vice Prime Minister. According to Ukrainian and East European media Khoroshkovsky is one of Ukraine's richest people. While being in public office Khoroshkovsky had large stakes in various Ukrainian media and metallurgy industries. In 2006 Khoroshkovsky stated: "I owned mid-sized businesses that had no kind of political influence. First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine is a government post of the Cabinet of Ukraine. In the absence of the prime minister of Ukraine, the first vice prime minister performs his or her duties as the acting prime minister.
