VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation () is the world's largest titanium producer. Located in Verkhnyaya Salda, Russia, VSMPO-AVISMA also operates facilities in Ukraine, England, Switzerland, Germany, United States. The company produces titanium, aluminum, magnesium and steel alloys. VSMPO-AVISMA does a great deal of business with aerospace companies around the world. Titanium Valley
Titanium Valley is a special economic zone in Sverdlovsk Oblast in the Urals Federal District of Russia, which will focus on creating titanium products for the aircraft, automotive, shipbuilding and medical industries. It will be created around the world's largest titanium producer, VSMPO-Avisma. In 2010 the Russian government planned to invest at least 40 billion rubles ($1.29 billion) for the project. Mikhail Shelkov (born March 30, 1968) is a Russian billionaire and the majority owner of VSMPO-AVISMA, a Russian titanium firm, through his ownership of Industrial Investments LLC. Sergey Viktorovich Chemezov (; born 20 August 1952) is a Russian oligarch and politician who served as CEO of Rostec Corporation, a state-owned defense conglomerate. A former KGB agent and high-ranking general, Chemezov befriended Vladimir Putin when both were stationed in East Germany in the 1980s. In 2007, Putin appointed him as CEO of Rostec. Redditch is a town and non-metropolitan district with borough status in Worcestershire, England.
