Nationale 1 (Senegal)
The Nationale 1 Masculin (abbreviated as NM1; in English: National 1 Men) is the highest professional basketball league in Senegal. Established in 1971, the league consists of 16 teams. Each season is finished with a final in a single-game elimination format, held at the Marius Ndiaye Stadium in Dakar. AS Douanes and ASFA are the most successful team in NM1 history with 10 won titles each. The champions of the NM1 qualify directly for the regular season of the Basketball Africa League (BAL), the premiere continental league. The Autonomous Port of Dakar (French: ''Port autonome de Dakar'', abbreviation: ''PAD'') is a Senegalese public enterprise which is headquartered in Dakar, located in the east of city. Thanks to the strategic position that gives it a sheltered harbor, it is now the third largest port in West Africa after the Autonomous Port of Abidjan and the Port of Lagos It is also the ninth-largest port on the African continent. Dakar

The 2021 Nationale 1 season was the season of the Nationale 1, the premier basketball league in Senegal. The champions directly qualify for the 2022 Basketball Africa League season. The 2024 Nationale 1 (N1) season was the 57th season of the Nationale 1 (NM1), the top-tier basketball league for men's teams in Senegal. AS Douanes were the defending champions, but were eliminated in the semi-finals. ASCVD won their first national championship, after defeating DUC in the final. As champions, they qualified directly for the 2025 BAL season. Teams Guédiawaye Academy and USPA were promoted. UCAD and ASFA were relegated to the Division 2 following their results in the 2022 season. In January, it was announced that UCAD and Larry Diouf had merged and would keep playing in the NM1 under the name Larry Diouf.
