The Gorgon (Tomi Shishido) is a fictional supervillain appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Publication history The Gorgon first appeared in ''Wolverine'' vol. 3 #20, and was created by Mark Millar and John Romita Jr. The character was killed in ''Wolverine'' vol. 3 #31, only to be resurrected later in '' Secret Warriors'' #2. Fictional character biography Tomi Shishido is a member of the Hand and Hydra and a powerful mutant, leading the extremist mutant society Dawn of the White Light. John Romita Jr
John Salvatore Romita (; born August 17, 1956), known professionally as John Romita Jr., is an American comics artist best known for his extensive work for Marvel Comics from the 1970s to the 2010s. He is the son of artist John Romita Sr. Early life John Romita Jr. is the son of Virginia (Bruno) and comic book artist John Romita Sr., one of the signature ''Spider-Man'' artists since the 1960s. He studied advertising art and design at Farmingdale State College in East Farmingdale, New York, graduating in 1976. Phobos is the name of two fictional comic book characters appearing in books published by Marvel Comics characters, based on the Greek mythological deity of the same name. Dark Reign is a 2008 to 2009 comic book branding used by Marvel Comics. It deals with the aftermath of the " Secret Invasion" storyline, which leads to a shift of power in the Marvel Universe toward Norman Osborn. The title refers to Osborn's rise to national power and the ramifications thereof.
