Tbilisi Sports Palace
Tbilisi Sport Palace ( ka, თბილისის სპორტის სასახლე) is an indoor sports arena situated in Tbilisi, Georgia. The arena usually hosts basketball, handball, judo, tennis, boxing and other games and tournaments with high attendance. History Built in 1961, the arena was used primely for the basketball games of local Dinamo Tbilisi and is still the largest basketball designed arena in all of the former USSR successor states. The construction was led by architects Vladimir Aleksi-Meskhishvili, Yuri Kasradze, Temo Japaridze and designer David Kajaia. The arena was renovated in 2007 and was reopened on 22 August 2007, with management rights given to the Logic Group Ltd for a 30-year contract. This was the first phase of renovation and reconstruction, with the second phase including changing the roof of the building and installing new individual seats. Lela Tsurtsumia ( ka, ლელა წურწუმია) (born 12 February 1969) is a Georgian pop singer and actress. Born and raised in Tbilisi, she graduated in Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film University. She sings in native Georgian, Megrelian and Laz languages. Life and career Tsurtsumia has been active in music since the age of five and has been working with vocal teachers. Theatrical education helped her to create an individual musical image and manner. In 1996–1999, Lela became a singer in ensemble "Taigouli". She start performing songs at the restaurant "Europa" Where she met her future manager and husband Kakha Mamulashvili. FILA Wrestling European Championships
The European Wrestling Championships is the second oldest international wrestling competition of the modern world and the main wrestling championships in Europe. It predates World Wrestling Championships and other regional wrestling championships and is second only to the wrestling events at the Olympics. From its inception in 1898 till 1927 only Greco-Roman wrestling was contested. Since 1929 separate freestyle wrestling events were held as well. Since 1970 the two Olympic wrestling styles were contested together during the same unified events. Olympic Palace ( ka, ოლიმპიური სასახლე) is an indoor sports arena situated in Tbilisi, Georgia, which was built to be used as one of the venues for the 2015 European Youth Summer Olympic Festival. Construction and facilities Opened on 13 July 2015 by Georgia's Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, the complex features two halls that are capable of hosting several sports, such as handball, basketball, volleyball, judo, wrestling, futsal, fencing and other games and tournaments. The seated capacity for the Grand Hall (main arena) is 3,600 for sporting events while the smaller hall can hold 600 spectators. The Olympic Palace also includes a VIP lounge, conference and media rooms, a cafe and car parking area with space for 260 cars.
