Taryn Marler
Taryn Natalie Marler (born 1 September 1988) is an Australian actress. Biography Marler is best known for her role on '' Blue Water High'' as Rachel Samuels. She was also in the short film ''Car Pool'' as Chrissy Clapton. Marler met up with her Blue Water High co-stars Sophie Luck, Lesley Anne Mitchell and Gabrielle Scollay in early 2006. Taryn has also taken part in Rove McManus's stand-up comedy show in a 'Benny Hill' style skit, as a nurse in his 2008 tour. Marler was later cast in series three of ''H2O: Just Add Water'' as Sophie Benjamin, a recurring character who is very involved in her brother Will's success as a free diver. She also causes much misfortune to the mermaids and is viewed primarily as a negative character. She also had a brief cameo in series two of '' H2O: Just Add Water'' as Julia, a mermaid from 50 years before the main protagonists' time (she replaced Amrita Tarr in this role). Blue Water High
''Blue Water High'' is an Australian television drama series, broadcast by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation on ABC1 and on Austar/ Foxtel Nickelodeon channel in Australia and on various channels in many other countries. Each season follows the lives of a young group of students at Solar Blue, a high-performance surf academy where several lucky 16-year-olds are selected for a 12-month-long surfing program at Bilgola Beach, Sydney. There are three series in Blue Water High. The first two series were screened in 2005 and 2006 and the producers did not intend to create a third and final series. However, due to popular demand by fans, they relented and made one more series with only Kate Bell returning in a main role. Sophie Kathrin Luck (born 17 October 1989) is an Australian actress best known for her roles on the television shows '' Blue Water High'' and '' Home and Away''. Biography Personal life Luck has had drama lessons since the age of seven. She has trained with the Performing Arts Academy, and is currently continuing her acting and singing courses in its professional training program. In her spare time Luck enjoys dancing, surfing, horse riding and spending time with friends. She attended Crestwood High School (although she was tutored while on set) and undertook the Higher School Certificate in 2007. Luck is known to be a Christian and attends Hillsong Church. ''In Her Skin'' (also known as ''I Am You'' from the working title ''How to Change in 9 Weeks'') is a 2009 Australian drama movie written and directed by Simone North. The film is based on the true story of the murder of 15-year-old Rachel Barber, Ivan Southall's granddaughter, who went missing on March, 1, 1999. It was later discovered that Barber was murdered by a former neighbour and family babysitter, Caroline Reed Robertson.
