Traralgon City SC is a soccer club based in Traralgon, Victoria, Australia. The club was originally founded in 1968 and currently competes in Latrobe Valley Soccer League and are often to referred to as the ''Roosters''. The club was the first Traralgon side to join the Latrobe Valley Soccer League after the withdrawal of the Traralgon Tigers in 1964. The club is still yet to win a senior men's LVSL title but has claimed six Battle of Britain Cups, four women's LVSL titles (every title from 2016 to 2019) and four women's Browne-Huizer Cups. History Early Cup triumph followed by struggle (1968–1978) Whilst clubs from Moe and Morwell were the dominant forces in the formative years of the LVSL - owing to their larger populations and heavy migrant influence - Traralgon was slower to compete. Latrobe Valley Soccer League (LVSL) is a soccer league encompassing much of Gippsland and the Latrobe Valley in ( Victoria. As the region with the National Soccer League's only regional participant, as well as being home to multiple Victorian state champions, the LVSL is widely acknowledged as being one of the strongest soccer leagues in regional Australia. Traralgon ( , ) is a city located in the east of the Latrobe Valley in the Gippsland region of Victoria, Australia and the most populous city in the City of Latrobe and the region. The urban population of Traralgon at the was 26,907. It is the largest and fastest growing city in the greater Latrobe Valley area, which has a population of 77,168 at the 2021 Census and is administered by the City of Latrobe. The name was used for the pastoral lease of the Hobson brothers in 1844, centred on Traralgon Creek, and was alternatively rendered 'Tralgon' by Dr Edumund Hobson. Traralgon Olympians SC is a soccer club based in Traralgon, Victoria, Australia. The club was founded in 1980, currently competes in Latrobe Valley Soccer League and is regularly referred to as Olympians. They are among the most successful club in the history of the Latrobe Valley Soccer League, winning eight men's league championships and seven Battle of Britain Cup titles. The club regularly competes in the Hellenic Cup, a competition for Australian soccer clubs backed by the Greek community.
