The Trip (Six Feet Under)
"The Trip" is the eleventh episode of the first season of the American drama television series '' Six Feet Under''. The episode was written by producer Rick Cleveland, and directed by Michael Engler. It originally aired on HBO on August 12, 2001. The series is set in Los Angeles, and depicts the lives of the Fisher family, who run a funeral home, along with their friends and lovers. It explores the conflicts that arise after the family's patriarch, Nathaniel, dies in a car accident. In the episode, David, Nate and Brenda go to a conference in Las Vegas, while Federico deals with an infant's funeral. Meanwhile, Ruth fights to keep her place at the flower shop, while Claire tries to get Gabe to open up with her. According to Nielsen Media Research, the episode was seen by an estimated 4.33 million household viewers and gained a Nielsen household rating of 4.0. ''The Trip'' is the debut solo album by French indie musician Lætitia Sadier, known as member of Stereolab and her side project Monade. The album was recorded in 2010 and was released in September of the same year. Beside nine original compositions by Sadier, the record contains three covers: "By the Sea", originally performed by Wendy and Bonnie, "Un Soir, Un Chien", written by Fred Chichin and Catherine Ringer of Les Rita Mitsouko and the standard " Summertime", composed by George Gershwin and DuBose Heyward. The record is dedicated to Sadier's sister Noelle, who had committed suicide a short time before the album's recording. The album was received well by critics, earning an 8.2 out of 10 rating by Pitchfork Media and a 3.5 out of 5 rating by Allmusic. Mike Singer (born 20 January 2000 in Kehl, Baden-Württemberg) is a German pop singer and songwriter. Biography Growing up as the son of Russian German parents in Offenburg, Singer started to develop a musical career from the age of twelve. Self-taught, he composed and wrote self-produced songs at home and cover of well-known hits. In 2013, he auditioned for the German version of '' The Voice Kids'' joining Team Lena Meyer-Landrut, but was voted out following the Battle Round. Lambchop, originally Posterchild, is an American band from Nashville, Tennessee. Description and history Initially formed as a three piece in 1986 with Kurt Wagner, bassist Marc Trovillion and guitarist Jim Watkins with the name Posterchild. They released some low-fi bedroom recordings on cassette such as ''I’m Fucking Your Daughter''. In 1992 they released a split 7” with Crop Circle Hoax which got the attention of entertainment lawyer George Regis, who sued on behalf of the similarly named band Poster Children. After trying a few different names they settled on Lambchop and signed to Merge Records in 1993 releasing their debut single ''Nine'' that year. ''Trip'' is the sixth studio album by Japanese singer and songwriter Rina Aiuchi. It was released on May 31, 2008, through Giza Studio, almost two years after the fifth studio album Delight. This is the first album in which Rina is the main producer. The album consists of four previous released singles, such as Bara ga Saku Bara ga Chiru (薔薇が咲く 薔薇が散る), Mint, Nemurenu Yo ni/Party Time Party Up (眠れぬ夜に/PARTY TIME PARTY UP) and I believe you ~Ai no Hana~ (I believe you 〜愛の花〜).
