TCDD Transport or Turkish State Railways Transport (, reporting mark TCDDT) is a government-owned railway company responsible for the operations of most passenger and freight rail in Turkey. The company was formed on 14 June 2016, splitting off from Turkish State Railways (TCDD) to take over railway operations, while TCDD would continue to administer railway infrastructure. Yüksek Hızlı Tren or YHT () is a high-speed rail service operated by TCDD Transport in Turkey. Branded as "YHT", they are TCDD Transport's flagship passenger train service and the only high-speed rail service in the country. As of 2025, the network spans and serves major cities like Istanbul, Ankara, Eskişehir, İzmit, Konya, and Sivas. The Aegean Express, numbered as B31 (), is a passenger train operating daily between Basmane railway station in İzmir to Eskişehir. The train operates as a local service on the route, calling at more stations than its counterpart, the Karesi Express; which also operates between İzmir and Balıkesir. Originally the train operated between İzmir and Eskişehir, via Balıkesir and Kütahya, as a daily Inter-city rail, inter-city train. The 6th of September Express () is a long daily passenger train operated by TCDD Taşımacılık. The train runs from Basmane Terminal in İzmir to Soma, Manisa in western Turkey. The train provides local service on between the two destinations and the total scheduled time of a trip is 3 hours and 33 minutes. The 6th of September Express was inaugurated on 1 September 2007, as a second train service from İzmir to Bandırma. Following a tunnel collapse on 5 March 2016, the train was temporarily cut back to Soma. Once the tunnel was rebuilt and train service returned, the 6th of September Express continued to operate only to Soma for a year. It is now extended to its former terminus.
