Steve Hawkes
Stjepan Šipek ( Sisak 1942 – June 23, 2019), also known by his screen name Steve Hawkes, was a Croatian-born American actor and animal sanctuary owner. Life Sipek was born in Yugoslavia, what is now Croatia, relocated to Canada in 1959, and subsequently acted in B-movies as Steve Hawkes. He played Tarzan in the 1969 Spanish-made film ''Tarzán en la gruta del oro'' / ''King of the Jungle'' / ''Tarzan in the Golden Grotto'' alongside Kitty Swan, filmed in Suriname, Florida, Africa, Spain and Italy where the producers ran out of money and had to begin filming again. Sipek, working under the name Steve Hawkes, claimed that the film company could not pay the huge licensing fees from Edgar Rice Burroughs' estate and settled for the name "Zan" for the character. A 1972 sequel, ''Tarzan and the Brown Prince'', followed with sequences filmed in Rainbow Springs, Florida, where both Sipek and Swan were burned in a fire that got out of control. Sisak
Sisak (; hu, Sziszek ; also known by other alternative names) is a city in central Croatia, spanning the confluence of the Kupa, Sava and Odra rivers, southeast of the Croatian capital Zagreb, and is usually considered to be where the Posavina (Sava basin) begins, with an elevation of 99 m. The city's total population in 2011 was 47,768 of which 33,322 live in the urban settlement (naselje). ''Blood Freak'' (also known as ''Blood Freaks'') is a 1972 American horror film directed by Brad F. Grinter and starring Steve Hawkes, Dana Cullivan, Heather Hughes, and Bob Currier. Plot While riding down the Florida highway on his motorbike, Vietnam veteran Herschell helps a young religious girl called Angel, whose car has broken down. She takes Herschell back to her home, where her sister, Anne and many local friends of hers are smoking pot. The Bengal tiger is a population of the '' Panthera tigris tigris'' subspecies. It ranks among the biggest wild cats alive today. It is considered to belong to the world's charismatic megafauna. The tiger is estimated to have been present in the Indian subcontinent since the Late Pleistocene, for about 12,000 to 16,500 years. Today, it is threatened by poaching, loss and fragmentation of habitat, and was estimated at comprising fewer than 2,500 wild individuals by 2011. An animal sanctuary is a facility where animals are brought to live and to be protected for the rest of their lives. Pattrice Jones, co-founder of VINE Sanctuary defines an animal sanctuary as "a safe-enough place or relationship within the continuing hazards that menace everybody". In addition, sanctuaries are an experimental staging ground for transformative human–animal relations. There are five types of animal sanctuaries reflective of the species-belonging of the residents: 1) companion animal sanctuaries; 2) wildlife sanctuaries; 3) exotic animal sanctuaries; 4) farmed animal sanctuaries; and 5) cetacean sanctuaries.
