Seminari Theoloji Malaysia
Malaysia Theological Seminary ( ms, Seminari Theoloji Malaysia or STM) is an interdenominational Protestant seminary in the city of Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. Established in 1979, STM is accredited by the Association for Theological Education in South East Asia (ATESEA) and a participating school of the South East Asia Graduate School of Theology (SEAGST) from which the Master of Theology degree is awarded. History STM started as a joint-venture among the Anglican Diocese of West Malaysia, the Methodists and the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Malaysia and Singapore (ELCMS) in Malaysia and was opened on 6 January 1979 (Feast of Epiphany). A seminary, school of theology, theological seminary, or divinity school is an educational institution for educating students (sometimes called ''seminarians'') in scripture, theology, generally to prepare them for ordination to serve as clergy, in academics, or mostly in Christian ministry. Education for Ministry (EfM) is a program of theological education-at-a-distance which originated at thUniversity of the South School of Theology while Urban T. Holmes III was dean, drawing on the work of the Jesuit theologian Bernard Lonergan. It was previously known as Theological Education by Extension (TEE). While the program is not exclusive to the Episcopal Church, it is mainly found in parishes of that church. Study is conducted in small groups consisting of 6-12 members, facilitated by mentors who have been certified by the EfM program. It is a four-year program of study covering the Old and New Testaments, the history of the Christian religion, and theology. Sentul is a suburb located within the northern part of the city centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in the constituency of Batu. The vicinity of Sentul is sandwiched between Segambut and Titiwangsa. History Sentul is a former railway hub famous for its old-world charm, historical temples and prewar shops. During World War II, Sentul was one of the last towns in Kuala Lumpur that was heavily bombed by the British B-29 planes without any warning on 19 February 1945. The bomb targets were two rail complexes managed by Marai Tetsudo, the Japanese name for the former Federated Malay States Railway (FMSR).
