Schibsted Media Group is an international media group. The company has its headquarters in Oslo, Norway, and is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange. The CEO is Kristin Skogen Lund. In 2019, Schibsted spun off the majority of their online marketplaces business area into a new company called Adevinta. Brands such as Leboncoin.fr and Shpock were included, and stakes in similar websites across Europe were also transferred. As of December 2022 Schibsted continues to hold a 22.8% stake in the company. Christian Schibsted
Christian Michael Schibsted (21 February 1812 – 17 June 1878) was a Norwegian printer and publisher, known for establishing Schibsted Forlag and ''Aftenposten''. Early life and career He was born in Christiania as a son of Frederik Schibsted (1766–1822) and his wife Maria Larsen (c.1779–1818). At the age of ten he had lost both his parents, and already the year before he had been sent to an orphanage. He studied book printing between 1829 and 1833, and was hired by the newspaper '' Morgenbladet'' in 1836. In 1839 he acquired burghership and established the publishing house Schibsted together with Johan Jørgen Krohn. The publishing house got the name Schibsted in 1843, when Christian Schibsted bought Krohn's share. In June 1845 Schibsted married Therese Amalie Dahl, but she died already in February 1846. Tinius Nagell-Erichsen
Einar Fredrik Åke Tinius Nagell-Erichsen (15 February 1934 – 12 November 2007) was a Norwegian publisher, noted for his leadership of the Schibsted media conglomerate which includes the broadsheet newspaper ''Aftenposten'' and the tabloid ''Verdens gang''. Nagell-Erichsen was the great-grandson of Christian Michael Schibsted, the founder of the Schibsted corporation. His father was the Leif Nagell-Erichsen, a noted attorney. The Schibsted corporation was closely held by the Nagell-Erichsen, Riddervold, and Huitfeld families. Education Nagell-Erichsen attended the London School of Economics, earning a Master of Science in 1959. He also worked as a waiter for two years in California. Shpock is an online marketplace that allows users to list products for local sale. Shpock is developed and operated by the Austrian start-up finderly GmbH and employs 102 people. Kristin Skogen Lund (born 11 August 1966) is a Norwegian business leader. She became CEO of Schibsted ASA in December 2018.
