Sam Prakel
Samuel Prakel (born 29 October 1994) is an American middle- and long-distance runner, who competes for Adidas. His personal best time in the indoor mile is 3:50.94, tied for 13th all-time. He competed collegiately for the Oregon Ducks, where he was a five-time All American and won the 1500m at the 2018 Pac-12 Championships. High school career Prakel attended Versailles High School in Ohio. During his time there he was a two-time Ohio Division III state champion in cross country winning the race in 2011 and 2012. His senior year he was a Footlocker Nationals qualifier and won Ohio Gatorade Cross Country Runner of the Year. On the track, Prakel was a four-time state champion winning the 3200m in 2012, the 800m in 2013, and the 1600m in both 2012 and 2013. Versailles ( ) is a village in Darke County, Ohio, United States. It is the only village in Wayne Township. The population was 2,687 at the 2010 census. History Founded in 1819, the village is named after the city of Versailles in France. Versailles was originally named Jacksonville, in honor of Andrew Jackson and his victory at the Battle of New Orleans. Eric Jenkins (born November 24, 1991) is a professional distance runner. He first began running at Portsmouth High School in his hometown, after which he was recruited by Northeastern University. After his junior year Jenkins transferred to University of Oregon, where he further established his reputation in collegiate distance running. After his collegiate career he signed a contract with Nike. He formerly ran with the Nike Oregon Project. Running career High school Jenkins first ran competitively in cross country while in middle school. He then attended Portsmouth High School in New Hampshire, although he did not run all of the four years he attended. In his senior year of high school he recorded a personal best time of 4:15.10 in the 1600 meters. Finn Rock, Oregon
Finn Rock is an unincorporated community in Lane County, Oregon, United States. It is located on Oregon Route 126 and the McKenzie River, between the communities of Nimrod and Blue River, in the Willamette National Forest. Finn Rock was once a logging community and is named after an unusual rock formation on Route 126 near the mouth of Finn Creek. Although the rock resembles a shark's fin, the rock was named for Benjamin Franklin Finn, an early settler of the area. Ben Finn was known as "the biggest liar on the McKenzie River", and claimed to be the inspiration for Mark Twain's Huckleberry Finn. Finn Rock post office operated from 1947 until 1961. Griswold Stadium
Griswold Stadium is an American football and soccer stadium which serves as the home of the Lewis & Clark Pioneers football and soccer teams. It is located in Portland, Oregon, featuring an AstroTurf field and a seating capacity of 3,500. It has hosted track and field events as well. The land that the stadium sits on was forested before it was built. In 1952, Graham Griswold donated US$25,000 and lumber towards the erection of a new football stadium, complete with grandstands. The first game that occurred at the stadium took place on October 10, 1953, with Lewis & Clark against the Linfield Wildcats football team. It was officially named "Griswold Stadium" in 1954 after the benefactor of the construction project. In 2003, lights were installed at Griswold Stadium allowing for night games.
