Simon (game)
''Simon'' is an electronic game of short-term memory skill invented by Ralph H. Baer and Howard J. Morrison, working for toy design firm Marvin Glass and Associates, with software programming by Lenny Cope. The device creates a series of tones and lights and requires a user to repeat the sequence. If the user succeeds, the series becomes progressively longer and more complex. Once the user fails or the time limit runs out, the game is over. The original version was manufactured and distributed by Milton Bradley and later by Hasbro after it took over Milton Bradley. Much of the assembly language code was written by Charles Kapps, who taught computer science at Temple University and also wrote one of the first books on the theory of computer programming. ''Simon'' was launched in 1978 at Studio 54 in New York City and was an immediate success, becoming a pop culture symbol of the 1970s and 1980s. History Ralph H. Baer and Howard J. Morrison were introduced to Atari's arc ...

Simon (given Name)
Simon is a given name, from Hebrew language, Hebrew שִׁמְעוֹן ''Simeon, Šimʻôn'', meaning "listen" or "hearing". It is also a classical Greek name, deriving from an adjective meaning "flat-nosed". In the first century AD, Simon was the most popular male name for Jews in Judea (Roman province), Roman Judea. The Hebrew name is Hellenised as ''Symeon'' () in the Septuagint, and in the New Testament as both Symeon in Strong's Concordance and, according to most authorities, Simon. ''Simon'' is one Latinised version of the name, the others being ''Simeon'' or ''Symeon''. This practice carried over into English: in the King James Version, the name Simeon Niger is spelt ''Simeon'' (Acts 13:1) as is Simeon (Gospel of Luke) (), while Saint Peter, Peter is called ''Simon'' (). In other languages * (). This name appears in Greek mythology as one of the Telchines. In Greek means "flat-nosed". Simon (computer)
Simon was a relay-based electromechanical computer, described by Edmund Berkeley in a series of thirteen construction articles in '' Radio-Electronics'' magazine, from October 1950. Intended for the educational purpose of demonstrating the concept of a digital computer, it could not be used for any significant practical computation since it handled only 2-bit numbers (values 0 through 3) and had only 32 bits (16 2-bit registers) of memory. A working model was first built by two graduate students at Columbia University for less than US$300 ($ in 2022 dollars) in parts. Some have described it as the "first personal computer",What was the first personal computer?

Simon (cipher)
Simon is a family of lightweight block ciphers publicly released by the National Security Agency (NSA) in June 2013. Simon has been optimized for performance in hardware implementations, while its sister algorithm, Speck, has been optimized for software implementations. The NSA began working on the Simon and Speck ciphers in 2011. The agency anticipated some agencies in the US federal government would need a cipher that would operate well on a diverse collection of Internet of Things devices while maintaining an acceptable level of security. Description of the cipher The Simon block cipher is a balanced Feistel cipher with an ''n''-bit word, and therefore the block length is 2''n''. The key length is a multiple of ''n'' by 2, 3, or 4, which is the value ''m''. Therefore, a Simon cipher implementation is denoted as Simon2''n''/''nm''. For example, Simon64/128 refers to the cipher operating on a 64-bit plaintext block (''n'' = 32) that uses a 128-bit key. The b ...
