Sibylle Hamann
Sibylle Hamann (born August 14, 1966, in Vienna) is an Austrian politician (Die Grünen - Die Grüne Alternative, Die Grünen) and former journalist. She has been a member of the Austrian National Council (Austria), National Council since October 23, 2019. Life She grew up in Vienna, where she also completed her school education. Her parents are the historian Günther Hamann (1924–1994) and his wife Brigitte Hamann (1940–2016), a well-known author and historian. In 1984, she began studying political science in combination with history, ethnology, Russian at the University of Vienna and the Freie Universität Berlin, Free University of Berlin, which she completed in 1989 with a research stay at the Peking University, Beida University in Beijing, with a diploma thesis on ''Women's work and economic reforms in the People's Republic of China''. The war in Afghanistan was a prolonged armed conflict lasting from 2001 to 2021. Werner Kogler (; born 20 November 1961) is an Austrian politician of the Green Party who served as Vice-Chancellor of Austria from 2020 to 2024 and as minister for Arts, Culture, the Civil Service and Sport in the governments of chancellors Sebastian Kurz, Alexander Schallenberg, and Karl Nehammer from 2020 to 2025.
