Saimum Series
The Saimum Series () is a series of novels written by Bangladeshi author Abul Asad. The first book in the Saimum Series, titled ''Operation Tel Aviv'' (), was published in 1976. Background Abul Asad (আবুল আসাদ) was born on 5 August 1942, in the village of Narashinghpur in Rajshahi, Bangladesh. He started writing articles and stories when he was a student and became interested in journalism. As of 2011, he was the editor of '' The Daily Sangram''. Asad holds a Master's degree in economics. In 2019, Asad was imprisoned on charges of sedition and violating the Digital Securities Act. Plot Ahmad Musa is the protagonist of the series. The first book briefly describes his past, including the killing of his family and his flight from his homeland, Xinjiang. Abul Asad
Abul Asad (born 1942) is a Bangladeshi writer and journalist. He was the editor of one of the oldest national dailies in Bangladesh, '' The Daily Sangram''. He is admired by Muslim youth of Bangladesh for his thriller series, Saimum Series. He is also known as an Islamic thinker and intellectual in Bangladesh. Asad's cultural activities are largely guided by patriotism and devotion to Islamic ideology. He is one of the renowned cultural activists, who devoted their intellectual capabilities to nurture cultural and ideological heritage in Bangladesh.
