Ron Atias
Ron Atias (רון אטיאס; born 19 April 1995) is an Israeli Olympic taekwondo athlete who represented Israel at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Taekwondo career Atias, who started in the sport at the age of seven, trains in Ramla, Israel, which is his hometown. His club is Sharabi Martial Arts. In 2008, he won a gold medal in the Youth Croatia Taekwondo Open in Zagreb. In 2009, Atias won a gold medal at the Cadet European Taekwondo Championships, in 2010 a gold medal at the senior Austrian Open in Innsbruck, and in 2011 a silver medal at the Junior European Taekwondo Championships. He was picked by the Olympic Committee of Israel as the best 2011 Israeli Young Athlete. Atias then won gold medals at the youth 2012 Austrian Open and the 2013 senior Austrian Open. Ramla
Ramla or Ramle ( he, רַמְלָה, ''Ramlā''; ar, الرملة, ''ar-Ramleh'') is a city in the Central District of Israel. ''Taekwondo'', ''Tae Kwon Do'' or ''Taekwon-Do'' (; ko, 태권도/跆拳道 ) is a Korean form of martial arts involving punching and kicking techniques, with emphasis on head-height kicks, spinning jump kicks, and fast kicking techniques. The literal translation for tae kwon do is "kicking", "punching", and "the art or way of". Bat-El Gaterer
Bat-El Gatterer ( he, בת אל גטרר; born February 4, 1988) is an Israeli Olympic taekwondo athlete. She was the women's 2010 European featherweight champion. Biography Gatterer was born in and lived in the Israeli settlement of Kokhav Ya'akov, on a hilltop in the West Bank. In 1984, the family moved to Kokhav Ya'akov, a 20-minute drive from Jerusalem, where she trains. She is the eldest of six children, and served in the Israel Defense Forces for two years. She is a religiously observant Jew. Taekwondo career Gatterer enrolled in her first fighting class at 9 years of age, and at 12 years of age she began studying taekwondo. Maya Arusi ( he, מאיה ערוסי; born October 17, 1982, in Haifa) is an Israeli taekwondo practitioner, who competed in the women's flyweight category. She claimed two medals (a silver and a bronze) in the 51-kg division at the Trelleborg Open, and became the first Israeli athlete in history to compete in taekwondo in the Olympics at the 2004 Summer Olympics. Arusi trained throughout her career for Amos Lod Taekwondo Club, under head coach and master Alexei Orehov. Jesús Tortosa Cabrera (born 21 December 1997 in Madrid) is a Spanish taekwondo athlete. Tortosa first drew attention in March 2014 when he won the gold medal in the under 51 kg division at the World Junior Taekwondo Championships held in Taipei City, Taiwan. In May 2014, Tortosa made his senior debut at the European Taekwondo Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan where he won bronze in the men's finweight (under 54 kg) division. In June 2015, the 17-year-old boy competed in the inaugural European Games held in Baku, Azerbaijan. Originally a finweight, Tortosa captured the silver medal in the men's 58 kg division.
