Ramesh Surajmal Garg
Ramesh Surajmal Garg (born: 18 June 1948) or R. S. Garg is an Indian Judge and former Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court. Career Garg was born in 1948. He passed Masters degree in Economics and Law. He started practice in Madhya Pradesh High Court on Civil, Criminal, Revenue, Constitutional and Taxation matters. On 15 December 1994 Garg was appointed Additional Judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court. He served as a judge of Patna High Court and Gujarat High Court also. The Gauhati High Court was promulgated by governor general of India on 1 March 1948 after the ''Government of India Act 1935'' was passed. Establishing the High Court of Assam with effect from 5 April 1948, for the then Province of Assam. Madhya Pradesh High Court
The Madhya Pradesh High Court is the High Court of the state of Madhya Pradesh which is located in Jabalpur. It was established as the Nagpur High Court on 2 January 1936 by Letters Patent dated 2 January 1936, issued under Section 108 the ''Government of India Act, 1935''. This Letters Patent continued in force even after the adoption of the constitution of India on 26 January 1950 by virtue of Articles 225 & 372 thereof. The Patna High Court is the High Court of the state of Bihar. It was established on 9 February 1916 and later affiliated under the Government of India Act 1915. The court is based in Patna, the administrative capital of the state of Bihar, India.
