Rahway station is an NJ Transit train station in Rahway, New Jersey that is located 20.7 miles southwest of New York Penn Station, with service on the Northeast Corridor and North Jersey Coast lines. South Amboy is a station on NJ Transit's North Jersey Coast Line located in South Amboy, New Jersey, United States. The station is south of Perth Amboy (NJT station), Perth Amboy station and northwest of Aberdeen-Matawan (NJT station), Aberdeen-Matawan station. Metropark station is an intermodal transportation hub on the Northeast Corridor in the Iselin section of Woodbridge Township in Middlesex County, New Jersey that is located 24.6 miles southwest of New York Penn Station. Jersey Avenue Station
Jersey Avenue is a New Jersey Transit station on the Northeast Corridor Line in New Brunswick, New Jersey. It is near Jersey Avenue, in an industrial area next to a New Jersey Transit rail yard. Unlike all other stations on the Northeast Corridor Line, Jersey Avenue has low-level platforms (the rest are elevated), and, since there is no wheelchair ramp, it is the only station on the line that is not handicapped-accessible. Jersey Avenue opened in October 1963 as part of an experimental park and ride program. Jersey Avenue has a different layout than most New Jersey Transit stations. Union Tower
Union Tower is a closed interlocking tower on the Pennsylvania Railroad's Northeast Corridor in Rahway, New Jersey. History Union Tower was built by the Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR) to control the Perth Amboy and Woodbridge Railroad. Incidentally the PA&W was electrified by the PRR in 1935. For years this interlocking tower on the PRR had controlled trains on the NEC and the PA&W heading either to or from the New York and Long Branch Railroad in South Amboy, New Jersey. In 1968 when the Pennsy merged with the New York Central Railroad to form Penn Central, Union continued to control trains from the PA&W and NEC. In 1976 the government created railroad Conrail assumed operations from Penn Central. While Amtrak handled passenger trains on the NEC. Conrail did commuter and freight operations.
