''Kizuna Encounter: Super Tag Battle'' is a 1996 weapon-based fighting game produced by SNK for the Neo Geo arcade and home platform. It is the sequel to ''Savage Reign''. The European Neo-Geo home cartridge PAL release was rare, with only five known copies, making it a sought-after item in video game collecting (the Japanese AES version is not rare and is identical except for the packaging and inserts). Like its predecessor, it was ported to PlayStation 2 (released in Japan only), this compilation was re-released in the PlayStation Store for PlayStation 4 in December 2016. Shinkiro
, best known under the pen name of , is a Japanese illustrator and conceptual artist who used to work for SNK and is currently employed by Capcom. Prior to joining Capcom, Shinkiro was employed by SNK, where he provided the character designs and cover illustrations for many of their Neo Geo (system), Neo Geo games, including such series as ''Fatal Fury'', ''Metal Slug'', ''The King of Fighters'', and ''Samurai Shodown'', as well as for the crossover series ''SNK vs Capcom'' on which he collaborated with Capcom's Kinu Nishimura. During the 1990s, he was the most recognizable and famous of their artists. After that, he worked as a free illustrator and a cartoonist. ''Fatal Fury'', known as in Japan, is a fighting game series developed by SNK, first released on the Neo Geo system. Gameplay The original ''Fatal Fury'' is known for the two-plane system. Characters fight from two different planes. By stepping between the planes, attacks can be dodged with ease. Later games have dropped the two-plane system, replacing it with a complex system of dodging, including simple half second dodges into the background and a three plane system.
