Rony Talukder
Rony Talukdar (; born 10 October 1990) is a Bangladeshi cricketer. He is a right-handed batter. He made his international debut for Bangladesh in July 2015. He plays first-class cricket for Dhaka Division in Bangladesh. He was part of Bangladesh's squad for the Under-19 World Cup in 2008. Personal life Talukdar is from a Hindu family of the Narayanganj district of Bangladesh. He studied at Southeast University. Domestic career In the first three matches of the 2014-15 first-class season, opening the batting for Dhaka Division, Talukdar scored 227, 163 and 201 in three innings victories, sharing opening stands of 197, 314 and 301 with Abdul Mazid. In October 2018, he was named in the squad for the Dhaka Dynamites team, following the draft for the 2018–19 Bangladesh Premier League. Narayanganj
Narayanganj () is a city in central Bangladesh in the Greater Dhaka area. It is in the Narayanganj District, about southeast of the capital city of Dhaka. 2018–19 National Cricket League
The 2018–19 National Cricket League was the twentieth edition of the National Cricket League (NCL), a first-class cricket competition that was held in Bangladesh. The tournament started on 1 October 2018, with eight teams placed into two tiers. Khulna Division were the defending champions. The opening round of matches saw a total of thirteen centuries made by twelve different batsman, the first time this had happened at the start of a cricket tournament in Bangladesh. Round four of the tournament produced the two narrowest victories in the history of the NCL, with Sylhet Division winning their match against Dhaka Metropolis by three runs, and Rangpur Division beating Barisal Division by five runs. Rajshahi Division won the tournament, to claim their sixth title in the competition, after beating Barisal Division by six wickets in the final round of matches. Abdul Mazid
Mohammad Abdul Mazid (born 1 January 1991) is a Bangladeshi first-class cricketer who has played for Dhaka Division since 2011. An opening batsman, Abdul Mazid made his first-class debut against Rajshahi Division in 2010–11, scoring 51 off 64 balls. In his first three seasons he played 16 matches and made 734 runs at an average of 27.18, with one century, 104 not out against Rangpur Division in 2012–13, when he and Rony Talukdar put on 191 for the first wicket. In 2013-14 Abdul Mazid was fifth in the national aggregates, with 721 runs at an average of 60.08. He made two centuries: 182 against Rajshahi Division, when he shared a 197-run opening partnership with Talukdar, and, a week later, 142 against Dhaka Metropolis. First-class Cricket
First-class cricket, along with List A cricket and Twenty20 cricket, is one of the highest-standard forms of cricket. A first-class match is of three or more days scheduled duration between two sides of eleven players each and is officially adjudged to be worthy of the status by virtue of the standard of the competing teams. Cricket At The 2010 South Asian Games
Cricket was included for the first time at the 2010 South Asian Games, hosted by Dhaka, Bangladesh. A men's 20-over tournament was played from 31 January to 7 February 2010. The tournament was contested by five of the eight members of the South Asian Sports Council, with squads restricted to players aged 21 or under. Two venues were used – the Shahid Kamruzzaman Stadium in Rajshahi and the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. Bangladesh, captained by Mithun Ali, defeated Sri Lanka in the final to claim the gold medal, while Pakistan defeated Nepal in a play-off for the bronze medal. 2010 South Asian Games
The 2010 South Asian Games, officially the XI South Asian Games, was a major multi-sport event that took place from 29 January to 8 February 2010 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. This was the third time that the Bangladeshi capital hosted the South Asian Games, thus becoming the first city to hold the games three times. Roughly 2000 athletes from eight countries competed at the games in 23 different sports. The sporting giant of the region, India, continued its dominance in the game's medal tally with a staggering 175 medals including 90 gold medals. Pakistan narrowly beat the host country in gold medals count with 19, while the host Bangladesh captured 18 golds including the region's most popular and prestigious football and cricket titles.
