Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod (russian: Торпедо Нижний Новгород) is a professional ice hockey club in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. It is a member of the Bobrov Division in the Kontinental Hockey League. The Soviet Hockey Championship (russian: Чемпионат СССР по хоккею) was the highest level ice hockey league in the Soviet Union, running from 1946 to 1992. Before the 1940s the game of ice hockey was not cultivated in Russia, instead the more popular form of hockey was bandy. Radel Fazleyev (russian: Радель Равилевич Фазлеев; born 7 January 1996) is a Russian professional ice hockey forward who currently plays for Neftyanik Almetievsk of the Supreme Hockey League (VHL). He was drafted in the sixth round of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft by the Philadelphia Flyers.
