Presidential Towers
Presidential Towers is a multi-tower residential apartment complex built in 1986 and located in Chicago, Illinois at 555 W. Madison. Bounded by Madison, Monroe, Clinton, and Desplaines streets, the property covers two full blocks in the West Loop neighborhood. Built in what was once the skid row area of Chicago, the complex received over $100 million in direct investment and waived Federal, state and city revenues to get built, including the then-largest guarantee from the Federal Housing Administration. Skyscraper
A skyscraper is a tall continuously habitable building having multiple floors. Modern sources currently define skyscrapers as being at least or in height, though there is no universally accepted definition. Skyscrapers are very tall high-rise buildings. Historically, the term first referred to buildings with between 10 and 20 stories when these types of buildings began to be constructed in the 1880s.
