Predrag Samardžiski
Predrag Samardžiski ( mk, Предраг Самарџиски; born April 11, 1986) is a Macedonian professional basketball player who plays for EuroNickel 2005 of the Macedonian League. Professional career Samardžiski started his career at KK Partizan in the 2004–05 season. He then played with KK FMP for five years (2005–2010). In August 2010, he signed for Olin Edirne of Turkey. In May 2011 he signed with BC Lietuvos rytas in Lithuania. In January 2013 he returned to Adriatic league by signing a contract with Crvena zvezda until the end of 2012–13 season. On Jule 1, 2013, he signed with Mersin Büyükşehir Belediyesi. In July 2014, he signed with TED Ankara Kolejliler. On 10 December 2014 he signed a release agreement with TED Ankara and became a free agent. On 18 December 2014 he signed with MZT Aerodrom. Center (basketball)
The center (C), or the centre, also known as the five or the pivot, is one of the five positions in a regulation basketball game. The center is normally the tallest player on the team, and often has a great deal of strength and body mass as well. In the NBA, the center is typically close to tall. They traditionally play close to the basket in the low post. Centers are valued for their ability to protect their own goal from high-percentage close attempts on defense, while scoring and rebounding with high efficiency on offense. In the 1950s and 1960s, George Mikan and Bill Russell were centerpieces of championship dynasties and defined early prototypical centers. KK EuroNickel 2005 ( mk, КК ЕуроНикел 2005) is a professional basketball club based in Kavadarci, North Macedonia named for the local ferronickel smelter operator EuroNickel. They currently play in the Macedonian First League. KK EuroNickel 2005 is the first ever Macedonian club to win an international trophy in basketball, they won the 2010-11 EUROHOLD Balkan League. Pero Antić ( mk, Перо Антиќ, ; born July 29, 1982), is a North Macedonian basketball executive and former professional player. He currently serves as a president of the Basketball Federation of North Macedonia. Antić was a member and captain of the North Macedonian national basketball team. Standing at , he primarily played the power forward position, although he was able to play at the center position. EuroBasket 2011 was the 37th men's European Basketball Championship, held by FIBA Europe. The competition was hosted by Lithuania. This was the second time EuroBasket had been held in Lithuania, the country having also hosted the 1939 championship. The 2009 FIBA European Championship, commonly called FIBA EuroBasket 2009, was the 36th FIBA EuroBasket regional basketball championship held by FIBA Europe. The tournament, which was hosted by Poland, began on 7 September and concluded with the final on 20 September 2009. The competition served as a qualification tournament for the 2010 FIBA World Championship in Turkey. Spain claimed their first EuroBasket title by routing Serbia 85–63 in the final. Macedonia National Basketball Team
The North Macedonia men's national basketball team ( mk, Кошаркарска репрезентација на Северна Македонија, Košarkarska reprezentacija na Severna Makedonija) represents North Macedonia in international basketball and is controlled by the Basketball Federation of North Macedonia. The Radivoj Korać Cup ( sr, Куп Радивоја Кораћа / Kup Radivoja Koraća) is the men's national basketball cup of Serbia. It is run by the Basketball Federation of Serbia and is named after a Serbian basketball legend and FIBA Hall of Fame and Basketball Hall of Fame member Radivoj Korać. The 2018–19 Macedonian First League was the 27th season of the Macedonian First League, with 11 teams participating. Rabotnički were the defending champions. Competition format The eleven teams that compose the league played a double-legged round robin tournament. The two last qualified teams will join the relegation playoffs with the two best teams from the Second League. Teams Eleven teams joined the league as Vodnjanska was not admitted in the league.
