Pro Motorsport (Italian Racing Team)
Pro Motorsport is an auto racing team based in Italy. History International Formula Master Pro Motorsport raced in International Formula Master from its inaugural season in 2005 up until the end of the 2008 season. In 2005, with the series known as the 3000 Pro Series, Pro Motorsport performed solidly and their driver Max Busnelli was eventually crowned joint-champion with Norbert Siedler, both on 49 points and with identical race finishing positions. Busnelli collected two wins for the team on his way to the drivers' title. The team finished third in the overall standings. The renamed 2006 F3000 International Masters season saw Pro Motorsport finish second in the teams' standings and they collected another win, from driver Davide di Benedetto. In 2007, they won the last race of the season to end up fourth in the team's championship - the race was won by Marcello Puglisi. Salvatore Tavano
Salvatore Tavano (born 13 March 1980 in Siracusa) is an Italian racing driver, winner of the TCR Italy Touring Car Championship 2018, 2019 and 2020 and who has had several seasons in the WTCC, ETCC and TCR Italy championships. Career After starting his competitive career in karting, Tavano spent two years in the Italian Formula 3 championship. He finished fourth in 1998 and third in 1999. In 2001 he participated in the European Formula 3000 championship, winning the Zolder race and closing the season. with fourth place in the overall standings. In 2005 he finished third in the Italian super-tourism championship. Since 2002 he has spent three years driving in the European Touring Car Championship. International Formula Master
International Formula Master, also known as Formula Super 2000, was a European-based junior single seater formula. The series was conceived as a competitor for Formula Three and made its debut at Valencia in 2007. European television channel Eurosport were backing the series and the series regularly supported the World Touring Car Championship during its European races. The championship started in 2005 as the 3000 Pro Series, organised by Peroni Promotion and based in Italy; it used Lola B99/50 chassis alongside 2002 cars. MTC Organisation took over for 2006 and renamed it F3000 International Masters, running a support series to the WTCC. Italian Superturismo Championship
The Italian Superturismo Championship (Campionato Italiano Superturismo) is Italy's national motorsport series for touring cars. It was established in 1987 and its drivers' title has been held by such notable drivers as Le Mans winner Emanuele Pirro and two-time Champ Car champion Alex Zanardi. History Established in 1987 under Group A rules the series saw champions like Johnny Cecotto, Roberto Ravaglia and Nicola Larini winning the title before switching to Supertouring regulations in 1993. 2005 3000 Pro Series Season
The 2005 3000 Pro Series was the inaugural season of what later would become the International Formula Master racing series. The season consisted of eight rounds, beginning on 10 April at the ACI Vallelunga Circuit and finishing on 9 October at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza. 10 different teams and 26 different drivers competed. In this one-make formula all drivers had to utilize Lola B99/50 chassis and Zytek engines. It was won jointly by Austrian Norbert Siedler and Italian Massimiliano Busnelli. Norbert Siedler (born 29 December 1982 in Wildschönau) is an Austrian racing driver. Career Siedler began his career in motorsport in karts. In 1992 he began at the age of ten years in the German Kartszene and in 1997, won the junior class. In 1999, he was an Austrian kart driver. In 2000, he moved into Formula Ford and won in Germany and Austria as well as the championship. In 2001 he drove in the German Formula Three Championship. For the team Palfinger he finished 4th place twice, including once at Hockenheim supporting the German Grand Prix. Marcello Puglisi
Marcello Puglisi (born May 17, 1986 in Trescore Balneario) is an Italian racing driver. Career Formula Renault Puglisi began his car racing career by driving in the Italian Formula Renault Championship and Formula Renault Eurocup in 2003. He remained in the Italian series for three years, with a best finish of 13th in the drivers' championship. In 2003 and 2005 he competed in a total of six Eurocup events, failing to score any points in the process.
