Predator Free New Zealand Trust

Wellington is the capital city of New Zealand. It is located at the south-western tip of the North Island, between Cook Strait and the Remutaka Range. Rob Fenwick
Sir Robert George Mappin Fenwick (5 May 1951 – 11 March 2020) was a New Zealand environmentalist, businessman and professional director. Fenwick co-founded the organic composting service Living Earth Ltd, the NZ Natural bottled water brand and Te Matuku Oysters and held a number of board and advisory panel positions. His conservation and sustainability work included leadership roles in the Predator Free 2050 movement, co-founding the New Zealand Business Council for Sustainable Development and several leadership roles in Antarctica. Fenwick was knighted in the 2016 Queen's Birthday Honours for "significant contributions to New Zealand’s sustainable development, wildlife protection, waste minimisation, environmental science and Antarctica, and iwi development over the past 30 years". Gareth Morgan (economist)
Gareth Huw Morgan (born 17 February 1953) is a New Zealand businessman, economist, investment manager, philanthropist, public commentator and former political figure. Early life and education Morgan was born in Putāruru, New Zealand, to Welsh immigrants Roderic and Mary Morgan. He was the second of five children and the first to be born in New Zealand. From 1958 to 1970, Morgan attended school in Putāruru at Oraka Heights Primary and Putaruru High School. He then attended Massey University for four years gaining a BA(Hons) in economics. In 1982, he graduated from Victoria University of Wellington with a PhD in economics. Predator Free 2050
Predator Free 2050 is a plan put forth by the New Zealand government with the goal of eradicating possums, rats and stoats, all introduced predators, by 2050. Opposition to planned procedures associated with poisoning feral cats arose in September 2018. Joint venture company Under the plan, the government invested NZ$28 million into a joint venture company, Predator Free 2050 Ltd, with a plan for an additional $1 added for each $2 invested by the public, third parties such as philanthropic foundations or local councils. It was later reported that they had also pledged an additional $7 million per year after the initial $28 million was provided over the first four years.
