Pete Day
Peter Day (born 1970) is an English Recording engineer, recording/mixing engineer, record producer, and songwriter. Since the beginning of his musical career around 1987, he has been credited on numerous hit records from a diverse list of chart-topping artists that includes Kylie Minogue, Kylie, Sybil (singer), Sybil, Bananarama, Lisa Scott-Lee, Jason Donavon, and Rick Astley. He is also known for his audio engineering with songwriting/ production trio SAW ('Stock Aitken Waterman'). This led to credits on esteemed records such as 'Band Aid II', which topped the UK singles charts for three weeks running. To date he is credited on 19 top ten hits; 8 of which reaching No. 1. Point4 was a quartet formed in 2001 and composed of Pete Day, Phil Dyson, Paul (Bronze) Newton, and Daniel Sherman. "Clubbed to Death" is an instrumental composition by Australian music producer Rob Dougan, originally released on Mo' Wax records in 1995. It featured in the 1997 film '' Clubbed to Death'' and was given renewed attention in 1999 due to its inclusion in the film ''The Matrix''. It was re-released with new remixes in 2002. Release The subtitle ''Kurayamino variation'' is based on the Japanese for "of the darkness" ( ). The song samples "It's a New Day" by Skull Snaps. Robert Don Hunter Dougan () is an Australian composer, known for his genre-blending music. Mixing elements of orchestral music, trip hop, and bluesy vocals, his work is tangentially relatable to electronic music. He is known primarily for his breakthrough 1995 single " Clubbed to Death (Kurayamino Variation)", further popularised by 1999's ''The Matrix'' soundtrack.
