Manangle Parish, Cumberland (also spelled Menangle) is one of the 57 parishes of Cumberland County, New South Wales, a Cadastral divisions of New South Wales, cadastral unit for use on land titles. Its eastern boundary is the Georges River, and western boundary the Nepean River. It includes the southern Sydney suburbs of Menangle Park, New South Wales, Menangle Park (including its Menangle Park railway station, railway station), Gilead, New South Wales, Gilead, Rosemeadow, New South Wales, Rosemeadow and part of Glen Alpine, New South Wales, Glen Alpine. Major roads in the area include the South Western Freeway, Menangle Road and Appin Road. Cumberland County, New South Wales
Cumberland County is a county in the State of New South Wales, Australia. Most of the Sydney metropolitan area is located within the County of Cumberland. The County of Cumberland stretches from Broken Bay to the north, the Hawkesbury River to the north-west, the Nepean River to the west, the Cataract River to the south-west and the northern suburbs of Wollongong to the south. It includes the area of the Cumberland Plain. Note that Cumberland County should not be confused with the former Cumberland County Council, a county council which existed from 1945 to 1964, and which despite the shared name was a legally distinct entity, with a distinct (albeit largely overlapping) territory, the Cumberland county district.
