Noor Palace
Noor palace is a 14th-century mansion in Knivsta, Sweden. Noor palace was confiscated as part of the reduction by King Charles XI in 1686, whereafter it was used as a royal hunting lodge. In 1689 King Charles XI sold the mansion to his adviser Count Nils Gyldenstolpe. He rebuilt the mansion in ''Swedish Carolean Style'' (''karolinerstil''), the style of fashion in Sweden during the period of the two Carolean kings, based on drawings by Jean de la Vallée. Ouarzazate Solar Power Station
Ouarzazate Solar Power Station (OSPS), also called Noor Power Station (نور, Arabic for light) is a solar power complex and auxiliary diesel fuel system located in the Drâa-Tafilalet region in Morocco, from Ouarzazate town, in Ghessat rural council area. At 510 MW, it is the world's largest concentrated solar power (CSP) plant. With an additional 72 MW photovoltaic system the entire project was planned to produce 582 MW. The total project's estimated cost is around $2.5 billion. The auxiliary diesel fuel system is used to maintain the minimal temperatures of the heat transfer fluid during times when the sun does not shine (including at night), to start the startup and synchronize the turbine to the electrical grid, and other auxiliary functions. The plant is able to store solar energy in the form of heated molten salt, allowing for production of electricity into the night. Noor (also spelled Nour, fa, نور, lit=Light) is a class of Iranian military Earth-imaging CubeSat. Two Noor satellites have been launched from the Shahrud Desert in Iran into low-earth orbit aboard three-stage Qased ( lit. 'message') space-launch vehicles. Noor-1, the first Iranian military satellite, was launched on 22 April 2020 to a 425 kilometer orbit and decayed from orbit on 13 April 2022 marking a lifespan of one year, eleven months, and nine days, just past its expected one year service life. Noor-1 carried a photo of former Quds Force Commander Qassem Soleimani and a Quranic verse about overcoming adversaries. The Noor ( fa, نور) is a long-range anti-ship cruise missile manufactured by Iran. The missile is in primary service with the Iranian Navy. The missile is a reverse engineered Chinese C-802 anti-ship missile. History Iran was the first export customer of Chinese C-802 missiles. The contract was signed in 1995 but was cancelled due to U.S. pressure after 60 missiles had been delivered. After that, Iran started a program to reverse engineer the C-802. Nūr (Islam)
''Nūr'' ( ar, النور) is a term in Islamic context referring to the "cold light of the night" or "heatless light" i.e. the light of the moon. This light is used as a symbol for "God's guidance" and "knowledge", a symbol of mercy in contrast to ''Nar'', which refers to the diurnal solar "hot light" i.e. fire. In the Quran, God is stated to be "the light (Nūr) of the heavens and the earth" ( Verse of Light). Many classical commentators on the Quran compare this to God illuminating the world with understanding, not taken literally. Noor (1945 – 16 November 1974) was an Irish-bred Thoroughbred racehorse Champion who competed successfully in the United Kingdom and the United States.
