Nothing Left is an American supergroup (music), supergroup that formed in 2016. The band played their first shows in Europe. Background Nothing Left formed in 2016, following the announced disbanding of the band For Today. The band opened for For Today on the European leg of the Farewell Tour. The band also consists of members of A Bullet for Pretty Boy (band), A Bullet for Pretty Boy, Silent Planet and Take It Back!. The band is now signed to Facedown Records and released their debut EP, ''Destroy and Rebuild'', on April 21, 2017. The band released their debut album, ''Disconnected'', on December 13, 2019. Metalcore is a broadly defined fusion genre combining elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk, originating in the 1990s United States and becoming popular in the 2000s. Metalcore typically has aggressive verses and melodic choruses, combined with Breakdown (music), breakdowns – which are slow, intense passages conducive to moshing. Other defining traits are low-tuned, percussive guitar riffs, double bass drumming, and polished production. Vocalists typically switch between roaring or Screaming (music), screaming and clean, melodic, emotional singing. Lyrics are often personal, introspective and emotive. For Today were an American Christian metalcore band from Sioux City, Iowa, formed in 2005. They released two EPs, ''Your Moment, Your Life, Your Time'' and ''Prevailer'', and six full-length albums: '' Ekklesia'' in, 2008, ''Portraits'' in 2009, ''Breaker'' in 2010, ''Immortal'' in 2012, '' Fight the Silence'' in 2014, and '' Wake'' in 2015. A Bullet for Pretty Boy was an American metalcore band from Longview, Texas. Formed in 2006, the band independently released the EP ''Beauty in the Eyes of the Beholder'' (2008) before signing to Razor & Tie and Artery Recordings, where they released the studio albums '' Revision:Revise'' (2010) and ''Symbiosis'' (2012).
