North Carolina Courage Academy
North Carolina FC Youth (NCFC Youth) is an American soccer club and eponymous league based in Raleigh, North Carolina, and serving the greater Research Triangle. It is the largest youth-to-professional soccer club in the country. Club NCFC Youth was founded as Capital Area Soccer League (CASL) in 1974 as a not-for-profit organization and provides recreational and competitive programs for youth in the greater Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill metropolitan area. NCFC Youth offers teams in all divisions of North Carolina youth soccer including "classic" (first tier competitive teams in US regional and statewide leagues), "challenge" (second tier competitive teams locally), and recreational soccer. Chicago Stars Football Club is an American professional soccer team based in the Chicago metropolitan area that competes in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). FC Kansas City was an American professional women's soccer club based in Kansas City, Missouri. The Duke Blue Devils women's soccer team represent Duke University in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) of NCAA Division I women's college soccer. The team was founded in 1988. The Blue Devils have won the ACC regular season championship four times. The team has advanced to the NCAA Women's soccer tournament 26 times, including 5 College Cup appearances. History 1980s Duke Women's Soccer was established in 1988 under head coach Bill Hempen, who was a Duke Men's soccer coach prior to this position. Wilmington Hammerheads FC was a semi-professional American soccer team based in Wilmington, North Carolina. Founded in 1996, the team last competed in the Premier Development League, the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid in 2017. History The Hammerheads had one championship in 2003, and were a finalist in 2002 and 2012, losing to the Long Island Rough Riders 2–1 in 2002 and losing 0–1 to the Charleston Battery in 2012. North Carolina FC is an American professional soccer team in Cary, North Carolina, a suburb of Raleigh, and member of the USL Championship. The Wake Forest University Demon Deacons men's soccer team is an NCAA Division I college soccer team composed of students attending Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Steven Curfman (born October 8, 1986, in Manassas, Virginia) is a former American soccer player who is currently a youth coach for North Carolina FC. Career College and amateur Curfman grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina, attended Athens Drive High School and played club soccer with the Capital Area Soccer League before being selected to the U.S. Soccer U-17 Residency Program in Bradenton, Florida in 2002. Cameron Hardy Castleberry (born March 14, 1995) is an American soccer midfielder who last played for the Washington Spirit of the National Women's Soccer League. Early life and collegiate career Castleberry attended Ravenscroft School where she played on the soccer team. She scored 25 goals and notching 15 assists. In 2011, Castleberry was named the NC 3A Private School Player of the Year, the TISAC Conference Player of the Year, Region 1 Player of the Year.
