NewsClick is an Indian news website founded by Prabir Purkayastha in 2009, who also serves as the Editor-in-Chief. The main headquarters are situated in New Delhi, with an additional office branch in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Urmilesh
Urmilesh is an Indian journalist and author. He was the executive director of Rajya Sabha TV from 2010 to 2012, and has worked in various Hindi publications like Hindustan and Navbharat Times, among others. He also anchored ''Media Manthan'' on Rajya Sabha TV, a media-watch programme about the week's news and its coverage in the media. Press Club of India (PCI) is an association of journalists and media professionals in New Delhi, India. Founded by Durga Das in 1957, it is led by an annually elected executive body, which consists of a president, vice president, secretary-general, joint secretary and treasurer besides 16 members of the managing committee. As of 2021, it has around 4,200 active members, 900 associate members and a few dozen corporate members, making it the largest body of journalists in India. Editors Guild of India (EGI) is a non-profit organisation of journalists, particularly the Editors, based in India. The organization has declared "objectives of protecting press freedom and for raising the standards of editorial leadership of newspapers and magazines". It was founded in 1978, by Kuldip Nayar. EGI has represented Indian newspapers in communications to the government. The first national convention of the Guild was held in Delhi on 18–19 March 1978.
