Nakheel Properties () is a real estate development company based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The formal name of the company is Nakheel PJSC (private joint stock company) and it was a subsidiary of Dubai World and a private state-owned enterprise. Nakheel was central to Dubai's debt crisis in 2009–2010. The company has been reported to be the second-largest property developer in Dubai after Emaar Properties. On 16 March 2024, Nakheel, along with Meydan Racecourse, Meydan, was merged into Dubai Holding and ceased to be a separate entity. Nakheel Tower
Nakheel Tower () was a planned skyscraper on hold in Dubai, United Arab Emirates by developer Nakheel. The project was previously called Al Burj ( "The Tower"). While the proposal changed over time, the tower was intended to be the tallest building in the world, surpassing the Burj Khalifa which was completed in 2010. In January 2009, it was announced that the project was put on hold due to financial problems caused by the Great Recession. As a result of the Dubai World 2009 debt standstill, Nakheel Group's financial problems increased considerably and the tower was cancelled in December 2009. Nakheel was in talks with several potential contractors, including South Korea's Samsung C&T (who also built Burj Khalifa), Japanese Shimizu Corporation and Australian Grocon. Nakheel Mall () is a retail, dining and entertainment shopping mall that is located at the heart of Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Jabal Ali (; formerly Nakheel Harbour & Tower) is a rapid transit station on the Red Line of the Dubai Metro in Dubai, UAE. The station is one of three stations on the system with a dedicated park and ride lot, the others being Centrepoint and etisalat by e&. Until May 2020, the station was named Nakheel Harbour & Tower. The station was closed and became a ghost station as it was being reconstructed to allow the platform and track layout to accommodate the Route 2020 extension. Al Fardan Exchange (, ; formerly Nakheel and Al Khail) is a rapid transit station on the Red Line of the Dubai Metro in Dubai, UAE. It opened on 15 October 2010 along with four other intermediate stations on the Red Line, as "Nakheel". It was renamed to "Al Khail" on November 24, 2020. It was again renamed to Al Fardan Exchange on March 19, 2025.
