Nakheel (Dubai Metro)
Al Fardan Exchange (, ; formerly Nakheel and Al Khail) is a rapid transit station on the Red Line of the Dubai Metro in Dubai, UAE. It opened on 15 October 2010 along with four other intermediate stations on the Red Line, as "Nakheel". It was renamed to "Al Khail" on November 24, 2020. It was again renamed to Al Fardan Exchange on March 19, 2025. Location Al Fardan Exchange station is located slightly under to the southwest of Downtown Dubai, between Interchanges 4 and 5 of Sheikh Zayed Road. It is the closest stop on the Dubai Metro to the American University of Dubai and Dubai Media City to the west and the Emirates Golf Club to the east. Emirates Golf Club, located in Al Thanyah Third, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is a 36-hole golf course. It was built in 1988, with the clubhouse and facilities designed and delivered by Dubai architect BSBG (Brewer Smith Brewer Group), and, is the first grass golf course in the Middle East. ''Gulf News'' is a daily English language newspaper published from Dubai, United Arab Emirates. First launched in 1978, it is distributed throughout the UAE and also in other Persian Gulf countries. Its online edition was launched in 1996. Through its owner Al Nisr Publishing, it is a subsidiary of the Al Tayer Group, which is chaired by UAE Finance Minister Obaid Al Tayer. History and profile ''Gulf News'' was first launched in tabloid format on 30 September 1978, but struggled in its early years.
