Molde Idrettspark
Molde idrettspark, until 1998 known as Molde stadion, is a multi-purpose stadium located in Molde, Norway. It serves as the home ground for the athletics team IL Molde-Olymp and the football clubs SK Træff and reserve and development teams of Molde FK. Prior to the 1998 opening of Aker Stadion it also served as the home ground for Molde FK's Eliteserien team. The stadium opened on 28 August 1955 and had an approximate capacity for 15,000 spectators. The current seated capacity is 1,400. History Until 1955, Molde FK had been playing their games at Rivalbanen. Molde Stadion opened on 28 August 1955 with a second tier league match between Molde FK and Kristiansund FK. The Norwegian Football Federation ( nb, Norges Fotballforbund, nn, Noregs Fotballforbund; NFF) is the governing body of football in Norway. Moss Fotballklubb is a Norwegian football club, founded on 28 August 1906. They play in the 2. divisjon, the third highest division in the Norwegian football league system. They played in the Norwegian top flight between 1937-1939, 1953-1954, 1977-1985 (9 seasons), 1987-1990 (4 seasons), 1996 and 1998-2002. The club came close to earning promotion to the top flight in 2005, but lost the play-off against Molde. Stadium Moss play their home games at Melløs stadion, which has a capacity of around 10,000. Kristiansund Fotballklubb is a Norwegian association football club from Kristiansund, Møre og Romsdal. The men's football team currently plays in the Fourth Division, the fifth tier of the Norwegian football league system. The team last played in the 1. divisjon (second tier) in 1991 and in the 2. divisjon (third tier) in 1998. The Aker Stadion (known as Molde Stadion for UEFA competitions and prior to sponsorship) is an all-seater football stadium located at Reknes in Molde, Norway, and is the home of Eliteserien club Molde. The stadium has a current capacity of 11,249 spectators. The building was designed by architect Kjell Kosberg.
