Mlađan Janović
Mlađan Janović ( sr-cyrl, Млађан Јановић; born 12 June 1984 in Kotor, SR Montenegro, Yugoslavia) is a Montenegrin water polo player. He currently plays for AN Brescia and he is a long-standing member of the Montenegrin national water polo team. He was part of the Montenegro national team that was crowned European Champion at the 2008 European Championship in Málaga. Career At club level, he played for his local club VK Primorac Kotor and was also a member of Pro Recco, Olympiacos, CN Marseille and RN Savona. Janović was a member of the Montenegro men's national water polo team who finished 4th in the 2008 Games of the XXIX Olympiad in Beijing. This was his first Olympic Games participation. The team was defeated by Hungary in the semifinals and by Serbia in the bronze medal match. Kotor
Kotor ( Montenegrin Cyrillic: Котор, ), historically known as Cattaro (from Italian: ), is a coastal town in Montenegro. It is located in a secluded part of the Bay of Kotor. The city has a population of 13,510 and is the administrative center of Kotor Municipality. The old Mediterranean port of Kotor is surrounded by fortifications built during the Venetian period. 2012 Men's European Water Polo Championship
The 2012 Men's European Water Polo Championship took place at the Pieter van den Hoogenband Swim Stadium in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, from 16 to 29 January 2012. Road to the 2012 Olympics The championships was part of the qualification procedure for the 2012 London Olympics that will take place in late July and early August of that year. There will be 12 men's teams in the Olympic competition. By the time that these championships take place, four men's places have already been booked: the winner of the 2011 FINA Men's Water Polo World League in Italy (Serbia), and the three top-placed teams in the 2011 World Championships in Shanghai that did not win the World League (Italy, Croatia, Hungary). The Montenegro men's national water polo team represents Montenegro in international men's water polo competitions, and is controlled by the Water Polo and Swimming Federation of Montenegro. Water Polo
Water polo is a competitive sport, competitive team sport played in water between two teams of seven players each. The game consists of four quarters in which the teams attempt to score goals by throwing the water polo ball, ball into the opposing team's goal (sport), goal. The team with the most goals at the end of the game wins the match. Each team is made up of six field players and one Goalkeeper (water polo), goalkeeper. Excluding the goalkeeper, players participate in both offensive and defensive roles. It is typically played in an all-deep swimming pool, pool where players cannot touch the bottom. 2014 FINA Men's Water Polo World League
The 2014 FINA Men's Water Polo World League is played between November 2013 and June 2014 and open to all men's water polo national teams. After participating in a preliminary round, eight teams qualify to play in a final tournament, called the Super Final in Dubai, UAE from 16–21 June 2014. In the world league, there are specific rules that do not allow matches to end in a draw. If teams are level at the end of the 4th quarter of any world league match, the match will be decided by a penalty shootout.
