Mirza Athar Baig
Mirza Athar Baig is a Pakistani novelist, playwright and short story writer. He was born in Sharaqpur, Punjab. Both his parents were schoolteachers and encouraged him to read widely from a young age. He is currently associated with the Department of Philosophy, at Government College University in Lahore. His fiction works include three novels, a short story collection, and numerous plays for television.He is interested in landmark places in Pakistan specially old. ''Dawn'' is a Pakistani English-language newspaper that was launched in British India in 1941. It is the largest English newspaper in Pakistan, and also serves as the country's newspaper of record. ''Dawn'' is the flagship publication of the Dawn Media Group, which also owns local radio station ''CityFM89'' as well as the marketing and media magazine ''Aurora''. Pride Of Performance
The Pride of Performance ( ur, ), officially known as Presidential Pride of Performance, is an award bestowed by the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to recognize people with "notable achievements in the field of art, science, literature, sports, and nursing". The Pride of Performance is the highest national literary award of Pakistan conferred upon its citizens and, while it recognizes literary contribution, it can also be conferred upon foreign nationals. It is usually awarded by the president once a year at the Pakistan resolution day, but announcements are made at independence day ceremony held on 14 August.
