Grupa Maspex Wadowice (short: ''Maspex'') is a Polish multinational food company headquartered in Wadowice, Poland. It has developed mostly through acquisitions in Central and Eastern Europe and has become the owner of more than 20 companies and one of the largest food producers in this region. History The company was founded in 1990. In 1993, it started the production of fruit tea, coffee and chocolate. In 1995, Maspex acquired Polska Żywność S.A. which specialized in the production of fruit and vegetable juices. Between 1998–1999, the company opened its first stores abroad in the Czech Republic, Romania, Hungary and Slovakia. In 1999 Maspex acquired Anin and Tymbark. Tiger is an energy drink, produced by Polish company Maspex. Facts Tiger has been branded with a nickname of Polish boxer Dariusz 'Tiger' Michalczewski and promoted with the slogan: "Power is back!” The boxer granted license for the drink manufacturing, distribution and promotion to Maspex company in 2010. Tymbark SA, is a Polish fruit- juice beverage company. Its products are mainly available in all of 16 Polish voivodeships as well as in most of Germany. Tymbark is also a fruit and vegetable processing plant (launched in 1936 as a cooperative Owocarska, nationalized in 1950, and in 1995 was turned into a shareholder company of the State Treasury, now known as Podhale Company Food Industry "Tymbark" SA). Wadowice (; ger, Frauenstadt – Wadowitz) is a town in southern Poland, southwest of Kraków with 19,200 inhabitants (2006), situated on the Skawa river, confluence of Vistula, in the eastern part of Silesian Foothills (Pogórze Śląskie). Soplica () is one of the older brands of Poland, Polish pure and flavoured vodka, having been first produced in 1891 (in a factory that was opened in 1888). Although the origins of vodka in Poland can be traced back to as early as the 8th century, Soplica is one of the older industrially produced brands of vodka in the country.
